Starting his architectural practice as a first winner of Asia-Pacific Architectural International Competition,
he remains as a principal architect for various project world-wide.
Concerned with the condition of architectural practice and education in Indonesia,
he started teaching at Parahyangan Catholic University in Bandung, Indonesia in 1996.
Since then, he does not cease to disseminate his research through writing publications in reputable international journal and books.
Having authored 11 books on architectural theory and practice,
he is well-known for his area of expertise on Meaning in Architecture, as well as Theory and Methodology in Architectural Design.
He strongly believes that this ever-rotation process can enhance and refine the entire process of Designing-Writing-Teaching activities.
It is the way that architects can continue to provide for better natural and cultural environment.
